A complete verse at one specific place in the artwork, its original close-up, a view locating it in the flag and your personal dedication record. The same words can appear elsewhere; your chosen location identifies your particular part.

From a life between the Shabbat table and a worry that never lets go. From wanting to give children a sense of home, even when the heart struggles to find rest. From days when life goes on as usual, yet every ring of the phone is heard.

Out of this life the poem was written and the work was born: an attempt to give fear, faith and hope a shape — and to find for our own thread a hold among other threads.

The tallit and the flag meet in the work: a person’s prayer beside belonging to a people. The verses of Psalms bring words that Jews have returned to from generation to generation — in times of worry, of thanksgiving and of longing.

The 613 threads echo the 613 commandments (taryag mitzvot). Each thread is numbered by its place in the work.

To dedicate a part is to pause for one person: to say their name and add a verse and an intention of the heart. Sometimes it is a prayer for their wellbeing, sometimes thanks for their presence in our lives, and sometimes longing for someone who is no longer here.

I create from faith and pray for blessing for you and your loved ones, with God’s help. To the words in the work you bring your own love, memory and prayer.

Each of us carries a different story: some seek strength, some give thanks and some remember a loved one. Each dedication is linked to its own place in the shared work. The personal names and messages accompany their parts in the dedication records. Together, the threads hold the shape of one flag.

To yourself, a loved one, in gratitude, in hope or in memory. The personal words accompany the selected part in its record.

The verse is already woven into the artwork. Your recipient’s name and dedication appear in the personal record that accompanies it. This prototype does not add new woven names, including in the whole-thread sample.

“The Weaver’s Blessing” grew out of our home life: love for our children, worry for their safety and prayer for quiet days. This is my craft and this is my livelihood.

When you dedicate a part to someone dear to you, you give your story a place in the work, and in the same breath you support the home it was born from.

Yes. You can create a separate dedication for each chosen verse. A thread kept whole is excluded from the smaller-part collection. This prototype creates sample dedications only, without payments or reservations.
